Mr. W. H. Gummer returned from Wellington by train yesterday morning-
Sir Cyril Ward has been elected captain of the C'hristchurch Golf Club for the fifth successive term.
The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, visited Hamilton yesterday and returned to Wellington last evening.
Sir Apirana Ngata left for Frankton by yesterday afternoon's express. He was accompanied by Lady Ngata.
Dr. E. P. Xeale, secretary of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, returned from Wellington yesterday morning.
Mr. R. P. Spedding, of Rotorua, who has been a patient in an Auckland hospital, will return to Rotorua tomorrow.
The Hon. Eliot R. Davis, M.L.C., left for Wellington by the limited express last evening. He was accompanied by Mrs. Davis.
Mr. W. Grounds, a member of the Dairy Produce. Board, left for th<" South by train last evening.
Mr. G. T. Jackson has been admitted a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Reed, 00 the motion of Mr. C. J. Tunks.
Mr. A. E. Ford, manager of the Auckland Transport Board, who has been spending extended leave abroad, will return to by the Rangitata from London on Wednesday.
