PARISHIONERS'. EVENING A gay scene was presented in the Otahuhu Public Hall on Thursday evening when the parishioners of the Holy Trinity Church held a fancy-dress dance and card evening to conclude the scries of functions in connection with the anniversary celebrations. There was a large assembly of parishioners and friends and the grand march was very spectacular. The judging of fancy costumes was done by Mrs. A. Murdoch, assisted by two friends. The awards were as follows:—Best fancy costume: Ladies, Miss I. Robinson (Chinese bride); men, Mr. J. Lee (Chinese bridegroom); specials, Mrs. Norcioft (Caimen); Mr. P. Lee (Mephistopheles). Most original: Ladies, Mrs. Hudson (Centenary air race); men, Mr. B. Brook ("Bolshie"); specials, Mrs. r. McDell (Gainsborough Lady); Miss Maher (Maori wahine). The best scores in the card games were returned as follows:—Bridge, IMrs. Verrall and Mrs. Bright; five hundred, Mrs. Nixon and Mr. A. Miller. A number of novelty dances were held in the course of an excellent programme.
