STEAMER STRANDED
EXCURSIONISTS ON BOARD A mishap befel the small steamer Onewa when she vras proceeding from Auckland to Waiheke with a number of excursionists on Saturday afternoon. When she was steaming between Bean Rock and the shore she grounded on the Horseshoe Reef, where she remained stranded for an hour. The vessel floated off with the rising tide and resumed her trip to Waiheke. No damage was done to the Onewa, which continued in the service as usual yesterday. The vessel is owned by J. H. Bradney and Sons, and she has been engaged in the harbour passenger service since she was built in 1910.
