MOUNTAIN RESERVES GOVERNMENT ACTION URGED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON. Monday Following a special report on the destruction of timber on tlie Mount Egrnont reserve, the Dominion executive of the Federation of Mountain Clubs of New Zealand passed a resolution urging the Government to give national 'parks and reserves the fullest protection possible and to take steps to prevent further destruction on Egrnont National Park. * The resolution stated that it seemed that the true position could be ascertained only by a public investigation and urged that such an inquiry be made without delay. The president of the federation, Mr. A. P.
