RESERVE BANK RETURN
INCREASE IN NOTE ISSUE RISE OF HALF A MILLION BANKERS* DEPOSITS REDUCED: [by TELEGRAPH—OWN CORRESPONDENT] WELLINGTON, Thursday The Reserve Bank return for the week endod Monday, September 17, was gazetted to-night. The statement is balanced at £30,509,751, or £9607 more than last week. The principal feature on the liabilities side is an increase of £577,682 in the note issue. This is more than counterbalanced by a decrease of. £587,0-15 in the deposits of the ti-ading banks. Other changes in tho liabilitiea are merely nominal. The assets stand practically unchanged compared 'with last week's level. The figures for the gold reserve are identical, sliowing that the transfer from the trading banks has been completed.
