JUDGE IN PYJAMAS
ATTENDANCE AT MEETING The Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, Sir Frank Gavan Duffy, attended a recent urgent meeting in Melbourne of the National Sinking Fund Commission in pyjamas. He was a victim to the prevailing influenza epidemic, but as his presence at meetings of the commission is obligatory, he left his bed specially for the purpose of attending. Sir Frank entered the Cabinet room at the Commonwealth Offices wearing a heavy/ overcoat, which covered his pyjamas. The Assistant-Treasurer, Mr. Casey, who presided, arranged for important business to ue dealt with first, and Sir Frank Gavan Duffy departed to return to his bed before the meetbig ended*
