JAPAN'S QUEST
COMMERCIAL TREATIES ENVOY TO DOMINIONS TOKIO, Sept. 18 The Foreign Minister, Mr. Hirota, intends to send an envoy of ambassadorial rank to Australia in October to return the visit to Japan of Mr. J. G. Latham. The aim is to negotiate a trade treaty. Subsequently the envoy will proceed on a mission to the Dutch East Indies and adjacent British colonies, and after that will go to South Africa, where it is expected he will negotiate a treaty with the Union Government.
