FATAL HIGH DIVE
NEW ZEALAND ENGINEER ACCIDENT IN ENGLAND LONDON, Sept. 18 Mr. Alan Raybond Smith, aged 30, a New Zealander, who was swimming with Mr. Edgar Smith, son of Mr. Stanley Smith, of Dunedin, in the Hunstanton pool, performed a high dive and apparently struck another bather. He was found floating paralysed with spinal injuries and was taken to hospital. Mr. Edgar Smith brought a specialist from London, but Mr. Alan Smith succumbed.
Deceased was an engineer Employed by the Ouse Catchment Board, as was his companion.
