METHODIST AT HOME
The ladies of the Northcote Methodist Church gave another of their enjoyable At Homes on Tuesday, in the School Hall, which was beautifully decorated with bowls of Iceland poppies and other spring flowers. The popularity of these afternoons was shown by the large number of guests present, the hall being crowded to its utmost capacity. Mr. Middleton was heard to advantage in several songs, while Mrs. K. mulham, Mrs. Reed, Mrs. B. Tremain and Miss Betty Bush gave renderings of musical and elocutionary items and were the recipients of beautiful bouquets. Afternoon tea was provided by the hostesses. Mrs* Gatman proposed a vote of thanks to all who had assisted to make the occasion such a success. The accompaniments were well played by Mrs. Reed and Miss Clarice Sharpe. The circuit funds benefited to the extent of £ll Cs 6d.
