FAREWELL FUNCTION
A very successful dance was held in the Hoe-o-Tainui school, when residents of Hoe-o-Tainui and surrounding districts gathered to farewell Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Powell, who are leaving to take up their residence at Ohinewai. The school was .tttractively decorated, and excellent music was provided by the orchestra, who were assisted by local instrumentalists. During the evening Mr. and Airs. Powell Avere presented with an inscribed 14-day clock as a mark of the esteem in which they are held in the district..
