Sept. 18 At to-day's sitting of the Munitions Investigating "Committee of the Senate, it was disclosed that, although the Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, had informed inquirers that the Government would view the exportation of military aeroplanes to Germany with grave disapproval, the United Aircraft Corporation, during the first eight months of 1934, had delivered in Germany aeroplane equipment valued at 1,445,000 dollars, and that more was still awaiting delivery. Officials of the company stated that tlieso shipments, however, were "commercial." At the same time thev admitted they could be used for military purposes. Further, they asserted that the shipments were made with the approval of the Naval and War Departments of the United States.
