ROCPE ROOSTER MATCHES SEMI-FINALS DECIDED RICHMOND AND MARIST WIN I'lie semi-finals of the Auckland 'Rugby League's lioope Rooster knockout competition were played at Carlaw Park on Saturday under heavy ground conditions, and showers during the play made thai ball '-heavy and, difficult; to handle. In spite of this hand-cap fast and open plav was witnessed, the handling under the conditions being very good. In the principal fixture Richmond, winners of the senior championship, defeated I'onsonby in a bright match and will, now • meet Marist in the final. J.larist proved too good for City and gained a narrow victory. In tho special round for those teams beaten in the Roope Rooster competition Devonport and Xewton defeated Papakura and Mo ■mt Albert respectively.
