THE ROUND TABLE CLUB

The activities of the Auckland City Mission were outlined in a very interesting address given by the Rev. Jasper Calder at the Business and Professional Women's Round Table Club luncheon held on the balcony at Milne and Choyce yesterday. The president, Miss I. Tanner, introduced the speaker who, in his opening remarks, expressed pleasure at being given the opportunity of enlightening people on the work of the mission. The large number of members and guests present was eloquent testimony to the popularity of the speaker and the splendid work done by the missioner himself and his band of voluntary helpers. At the conclusion of his address Mr. Calder was accorded a very hearty vote of thanks.
