OVERSEAS LEAGUE
There was a large attendance of members of the musical circle of the Overseas League when one of the finest of the circle's programmes of this season was submitted by Miss Kent and members of the Lyceum Club. In the unavoidable absence of Madame Aileen Johns, Mrs. Smart presided. Miss Eva Hood played two pianoforte solos, "Toccata" (Debussy) and "Little White Donkey" (Ibert). A talk on the music of Celtic countries was given by Mrs. Gordon Robertson and proved most interesting. The lecturette was illustrated by Mrs. Greenfield. Songs by Mrs. J. W. Ewen and Sir. Newton Goodson concluded the programme. The hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Frith and Miss Sutton.
