PROPOSED WOOL LEVY
OPPOSITION IN OTAGO [BY TELEGRAPH —I'HESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Tuesday The Otago Farmers' Union at its meeting to-day registered a strong protest against tho proposed levy on wool for research purposes. It was decided to send a representative to give evidence in opposition before the Agricultural Committee of the House of Representatives. The meeting considered that tho only means of improving wool was through the Live Stock Improvement Bill.
