DIVORCE DECREES

SEVERAL PETITIONS UPHELD DOUBLE GROUND OF ACTION Several divorce decrees were granted by Mr. Justice Herdman in the Supreme Court yesterday. On the double ground of mutual separation and of adultery, Svril Ball (Mr. Schramm) sought dissolution of his marriage with Noreen Ethel Mary Ball. Mr. Schramm said an order had been made dispensing with the citation of the co-respondent in tho case. Petitioner said the marriage took place in May, 1924, and there were no children. They lived together for about three months, and then his wife went, to live with her parents, where she had been ever since. They had mutually agreed to separate. He had learned that his wife had been ,in tho Salvation Army maternity homo at Grey Lynn and given birth to an illegitimate child there last February. Corroborative evidence was given by two officers of the Salvation Army homo. His Honor issued a decree nisi, to become absolute after three months

His wifo always wanted to go back to her parents in Norfolk Island, and in July, 1928, she did so with his consent, talcing tlift child with her. Ho was paying for her maintenance there now. Money matters were also stated to have caused quarrels in the case of Amelia Ethel Taylor (Mr. Schramm), who sought divoreo from Richard Elisha Taylor, to whom she was married in April, 192 G. Petitioner stated that thev had agreed to separate in April, l&Jl, and had remained apart ever since. There was ono child of tho marriage. His Honor issued a decrco nisi.

Rachel Taylor (Mr. Schramm), who was granted a decree nisi against Thomas George Taylor on the ground of mutual separation, said she remembered the time of the separation, because she had had to earn her own living over since. They wore married in June, 1921, and verbally -agreed *to separate in April, 1931.
