AKARANA GOLF CLUB

ANNUAL BALL HELD GAY SCENE AT PETER PAN A gay scene was presented at the Peter Pan Cabaret last evening, when the social and entertainment committee of the Akarana Golf Club held its annual ball. Bronze and golden chenille trees in quaint shapes were placed at each corner of the dance floor, and hanging baskets and ferns added to the decorative scheme. A ballet arranged by Miss Cecil Hall, and a tap dance by the Aristocrats received well-merited applause On arrival the guests were received by the president, Mr. C. M. Cox, and Mrs. Cox, who wore a frock of black Chantilly lace. The ladies on the committee present were;—Mrs. C. H. Halford, who wore black angelskin lace; Mrs. D. St. George, black ring velvet; Mrs. E. Phillip, black lace and georgette.
