RETURNED SOLDIERS
PUTARURU ASSOCIATION [from our own correspondent] PUTARURU, Wednesday The fine effort resulting in the enrolment of 90 members in one year of operations was commented upon in the first annual report of the Putaruru District Returned Soldiers' Association, presented at the annual meeting. The financial statement revealed that the branch had a credit balance of £2B ss. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. H. L. Martin; vicepresident, Mr. 0. Jones; hon. secretary, Mr. R. W. Cook; committee, Messrs. H- King, P. I). Morrison, J. R. O. Lochbead, F. Peters, T. Weir, W. Lyons, H. W. Lindsey, G. V. Pearce, R. T, Shrive, L. Addenbrooke, L. McHale, J. Nicholson.
