CHAMPIONSHIP RACES TEAMS' EVENT TO PAPATOETOE The annual teams' championship and junior road championship events wer« decided on Saturday by the Auckland Amateur Cycling Centre. Racing conditions were made difficult by the presence of a strong westerly wind, which hindered the competitors on the outward run in both events. Light showers also made for unpleasant riding.

The junior championship was conducted under unpaced regulations and an interval of two minutes waß observed between the departure of tho contestants. Each competitor had to ride the distance against the watch. Tho course of 13 l-sth miles extended from Point Chevalier to the Te Atatu turn and back and was over concrete road surfaces.

The placed juniors were:—R. Jones (Takapuna Club), 37m 435, C. T, Dwight (Manukau Club), SBm Bs, 2; E. E. F. Tucker '(Auckland Club), 38m 335, 3; J. H. Gillbanks (Manukau Club), 38m 375, 4. In the teama' championship each club was represented by four of its riders and an interval of fivo minutes was observed between tho departure of tho teams. The event was over a course of 21i miles, extending from Point Chevalier to Swanson and back. The successful teams ware:—Papatoetoe Club (S. E. Pinfold. D. N. Pinfold, O. B. White ond R. L.
