MILK CONTROL
Sir _Tho following are eleven reasons why tho Milk Control Act should bo repealed:—(l) Ninety per cent of tho citizens of Auckland would vote for tho repeal. (2) Tho board's powers amount to a dictatorship, and the British people abhor dictators. (3) It has increased tho prico of milk._ (4) It is unfair restraint of trade. (5) _lt is expensiyo without giving anything but irritation to tho community. (6) It is another nail in the coffin of private enterprise. (7) It creates more unnecessary paid officials. (8) It gives the board power to borrow money without the sanction of the citizens of Auckland, who, by still dearer milk, will pay for such loans later. (9) It gives the power (already exercised) to debar absolutely any unauthorised farmer from sending bis milk to the city for sale. (10) It is definitely communistic. (11) Not one reasonable argument has been given in support of the Act. Colin Biernacki.
