THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE QUIET SATURDAY CALL Tnw st ment business was comparatively light on tho Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday, with tho market showing very little change. Sellers of Government 4 per cent Mock were, more numerous in tho longer-dated issues, but the only business done was in 1940's at the current, price of £loo. In debentures Auckland Harbour Hoards, 1909, 5} per cents, on wliicli a half-year's interest has recently been paid/ were done at £lO2 10s, as against £10,'5 10s in April last. In investment shares only two transactions. were recorded. South British Insurance had sale again at the record level of 81s, all supplies in tho market being absorbed, while Consolidated Bricks also had acceptance unchanged at 7s 9d. On tho unofficial list levels for Woolworths (Sydney) ordinary were readjusted, the date for participation in the bonus, issue having expired on Friday. Ex 'rights, buyers offered £3 Is to quotations of £U 7s 6d.
