VERDICT OF GUILTY
TRIAL OF KAYE DON ' MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE POSTPONEMENT OF SENTENCE (Received July 15, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 14 The trial of Mr. Eaye Don, the famous racing motorist, on a charge of manslaughter arising out of the death of his mechanic, Taylor, after an accident on May 29, was concluded at Douglas, Isle ofj ; Man, to-day. TJgder cross-examination accused stated that when he went out he did not know that the sun had set an hour before. Nevertheless the evening was light. He admitted that he had neither lamps nor horn. Accused admitted that he was travelling at a speed of 60 miles an hour at the time of the smash. He denied that he was careless, saying that when he attempted to take the corner the car would not come round.
The jury returned a verdict of guilty. Sentence was deferred until Monday.
