PROSPECTS IN EAST /) POSSIBILITIES OF OUTLET [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] KAIKOHE, Thursday The question of utilising a proportion of the cream supplies of the Dominion in the manufacture of ghee, or clarified butter for the Eastern markets was raised at the conference of -"Northern Chambers of Commerce at Kaikohe to-day bv a Whangarei remit, that- the attention of' the Associated Chambers of Commerce be drawn to the possibility of opening up markets in the East for butter or the manufactures of butter, such as ghee. After some discussion the remit was carried unanimously. Another remit- having a bearing on the question of markets was moved b> H. Heslop (Kaikohe), and was carried unanimously. It Was: "That this conference draws the attention of the Government to the fact that there appears to be lack of co-ordination between the Government and the various produce boards and other organisations in regard to the marketing of New Zealand produce overseas and that steps snould bo taken immediately to secure tlr.s co-ordination, especially with a view to opening up. of. further markets.
