PEKINGESE AND CAT CLUB
SOCIAL EVENING The member? of the New Zealand Pekingese and Persian Cat Club held a reception to Mrs. L. G. Forrest, of New South Wales, ybo has been judging at the recent show organised by the club. Mrs. Charles Nathan, patroness of the club, who was wearing a coral pink fringed gown and fur coat, presented the various special trophies won at the recent show, and Mra. Forrest, who wore a midnight blue frock and short white fur coat, gave a most interesting talk concerning the breeds of toy dogs and cats exhibited recently. Mrs. S. Daniels and Miss Marjorie Robinson, of tjie governing council of the Cat Fancy Society, had arranged for the award of the challenge certificates won by cats at the show. Part of the programme was devoted to musical items, songs being rendered by Miss Olive Wurger-Thomas, Miss Maida Davison and Mr. H. Baxter. Novelty whistling items by Mr. 11. Itushen were also greatly appreciated. Among those present were Mesdames Charles Nathan, L. G. Forrest, R. Taylor, 11. Marshall, Mscgregor, S. A. Moore, S. Daniels, H. Baxter, Bedford, Baggot, Baker, R. Cooke, Dicker, Cowley, Morrison, Jainieson, Moulden, E. Smith, Swift, Wilde, Wilson, Townsend, Nolan, Misses 0. Wurger-Thomas, M. Davison, M. Robinson, M. Marshall.
