CONCERT AT INFIRMARY
INMATES ENTERTAINED The inmates of the Epsom Infirmary wore entertained on Tuesday evening, when an excellent programme of vocal, instrumental and elocutionary items was presented under the auspices of the Ouehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary, Mrs. A. Howell being the organiser. ilr. T. Garland (Uncle Tom), accompanied on the piano br Mrs. Barrington Snow, evoked hearty applause by leading in a number of popular community songu. Vocal solos by Mrs. do Berg, Mrs. Lan Simson and Mr. T. Cooper were also much appreciated and Mr. J. Elliott's Irish humour highly amused the old folk. A delightful medley of songs and dances was excellently rendered by tlio following:—Norma Jones, Molva Marchant, Noel Mathieson, Pauline Barnes, Miriam Pratt, Nellie Wardrop and Kenny Barnes. A number of Hawaiian melodies were rendered by the Te Moana orchestral troupe, Miss C. Howell played the accompaniments and Mr. lau Simson was stage manager. On behalf of his felloe inmates, Mr. J. Oldbury expressed his appreciation of the entertainment and returned thanks to the artists.
