PAKURANGA HUNT

GOOD SPORT ENJOYED A good afternoon's sport was enjoyed by tho Pakuranga Hunt yesterday, when it met on Mangere Farm. Tho hounds threw off on this land, turned into Harper Brothers' property and worked through to tho farm of Mr. M. Kirkbride, where a hare was put up and gave a sharp run over several paddocks before the line was foiled by cattle. Another hare was immediately pub up but was killed soon after.

On Mr. A. L. Rickard's farm a hare waa raised and crossed the road into the property of Mr. A. Flater, then through the lands of Messrs. L. and K. Montgomery beforo going on to barred country, where the hounds were whipped off. The pack worked back, through to Mr. H. E. Ellett's land. A hare was put up but the scent was lost along the beach. The hunt proceeded on to Mr. E. Ellett's estate, where a hare was raised on the mountain. It took a strong run in a circle round Mr. H. Ellett's, and thon Mr. E. Ellett's land, eventually being lost on Mr. M. Ellett's property. The hounds ran well and the hunt concluded about four o'clock, when the followers were entertained at afternoon tea at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. E. Ellctt.
