EVIDENCE IN WELLINGTON ; TRADE WITH THE EAST [BY TKLEQKAI'H—I'KESS ASSOCIATION.] "WELLINGTON, Monday \ The Dairy Industry Commission today entered upon the third week of its deliberations. The morning was occu■pied with the hearing of the evidence of Mr. Charles Mitchell Howard, shipping manager of Johnston and Comipany, Limited, who dealt with the subject of trade yrith the ICast, with special reference to the Dutch East Indies. In the afternoon evidence was given •bv Mr. N. S. Fall a. joint manager of the Union Steam Ship Company and Consul at Wellington for Japan, who outlined shipping facilities to the East and spoke on the possibilities of building up trade with Japan. Mr. Falla also detailed the present shipping facilities and modes of transhipment.

Lloyd, of -Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd., W. H. Kent, representative of Andrew Clement and Sons, Ltd., London, and G. Davidson, of the New Zealand Producers' Co-operative Marketing-Associa- ' tioti. These witnesses u'ill deal with , local and export marketing.
