SON KILLS FATHER

ACCIDENTAL SHOOTING PROTECTION OF MOTHER Tho local coroner, after an inquiry at Morgan, Soutli Australia, recently, found that Ernest George Coxall, aged 50, fruitgrower, of Cade]l, was accidentally shot and killed by his son, Reginald Kenneth George Coxall. Tho son was in custody 011 .1 charge of murder and was to appear at the Police Court on tho following day. Evidence was given that tho father had been subject to violent fits of temper. Mrs. Coxall stated that her husband had several times threatened to murder her. Witnesses gave evidence that Reginald Coxall admitted having shot his father, but "said it was accidental. The coroner said the son had 110 intention of injuring his father and was acting in the protection of his mother when tho gun was discharged by accident.
