MEETING ON JUNE 16 SOUGHT [fROSI OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE .AWAMUTU, Saturday At a special meeting last evening of the Y/fupa Racing Club's management committee the secretary reported tjiat the Racing Conference had inquired whether the club would be able to use a "floating" totalisator permit if one were available this season. After consultation with tho chairman of committee he had replied that the club would bo glad tq receive a permit for a meeting on June 16. Since then he had received no further communication. secretary's action was approved. It was also decided to ask the* Conference and Auckland District Committee for Decomber 15 for tho club's annual summer race meeting. . The course committee was authorised to have tho racecourse property top-drcsscd and tho buildings painted.
