A plonsniit social gathering wns held by 11101 nhers of the Society of Men of Kent an 1 Kentish Men in the Fabian Club rooms last evening, the president-, Mr. S. E. Langstone, presiding. As tlic
meeting was the first of tlio year, good wishes were extended to members. A programme of musical and elocutionary items was given, comprising vocal duets bv Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Hush, monologues by Mrs. .1. Wase.v, songs by Mr. V. Pearson and pianoforte solos by Mr. A. Bree. A short talk on radio broadcasting by Mr. Bill Hindman was also given. Dancing took place after supper.
