AIR MAIL CONTRACTS
AMERICAN INVESTIGATION FORMER OFFICIAL'S ARREST (Received February 4, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 William MacCracken, who was assistant Secretary of Commerce in Mr. Hoover's Ministry, was arrested to-day on a charge of contempt of the Senate. He had refused to surrender records to the committee of the Senate which is investigating alleged irregularities in connection with awards of air mail contracts.
