GERMAN CRUISER
ARRIVAL AT APIA ROUGH WEATHER EXPERIENCED [by telegraph—press association] •WELLINGTON, Sunday •A Press Association message from Apia, dated February 2, states that the German cruiser Karlsruhe arrived on Thursday morning from Melbourne and will remain there until next Wednesday. , Elaborate arrangements for the entertainment of the officers and men have been made by the German residents," the message states. "Heavy rains have prevailed since the cruiser s arrival, and to-day, owing to the high sea running and the unsettled weather conditions, the Karlsruhe has left the roadstead and put out to sea until conditions improve."
