SHEEP FOR THE WAIKATO
EAST COAST CONSIGNMENTS [from our own correspondent] TAURANGA, Saturday During the present week the Bay of Plenty railway has been kept busy in the transport of Poverty Bay sheep from the railhead at Taneatua to the Waikato. Seven special sheep trains have been requisitioned this week, and it is estimated that the total numbor of sheep carried was about 18,000. The steamer Pakura arrived here from Gisborne and landed 1800 sheep. One thousand are for Papamoa and the remainder of the consignment will bo driven- to Te Puna and railed to the
