ACCIDENT AT ONEHUNGA

CAR OVER EMBANKMENT DRIVER ESCAPES INJURY A fortunate escape from injury was experienced by the driver of a sedan car, Mr. J. Kerr, on Saturday afternoon, when the vehicle capsized over an Bft. embankment into Geddeß Basin, near the Manukau Yacht Club's clubhouse. Mr. Kerr, who resides at 127 Campbell Iload, Onehunga, was reversing the car down a narrow roadway. The door flew open, and the driver, while occupied in closing it, did not realise how close to the edge of the embankment the vehicle had gone. The car rolled over the edge, coming to rest upside down. The top of the body was damaged and the windscreen was shattered, but Mr. Kerr, who was the only occupant, was not injured. The car was afterwards placed on its wheels again and driven off under its own power.
