REMOVING OIL STAINS
If stains caused by clothing coming into contact with oil on bicycles or motor-cars are allowed to harden they are difficult to remove, but if the following hint be remembered, and the garments treated at once, all trace of the:stains can be successfully removed. First sprinkle the stain liberally with talcum powder. Leave it on for some tiime, when it will be found that the powder has absorbed most of the oil. The affected part should then be brushed free of all powder and rubbed lightly with a piece of material similar to that of the stained article. The stain will have disappeared entirely after this treatment. Oil stains of any kind can be dealt with in the same way.
