CONTROL OF CYCLING
SETTLEMENT REACHED PLANS FOR THE FUTURE [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] . WELLINGTON, Friday , _lt was reported at a meeting of the i New Zealand Amateur Cycling Associa- . tion that matters in connection with ' the recent reshuffling of the control of amateur cyclists had now been satisfactorily settled. The chairman, Mr. H. D. 1 Bennett, stated to-day that Messrs. J. Sturrock and G. R. Giles had been appointed two of the association's three representatives on the New Zealand Cycling Federation. The third vacancy would be filled later on. Although the association was to exercise full control over the administration of cycliiftg, said Mr. Bennett, it intended to . remain on the most friendly and fraternal terms with the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. On account. of the larger number of cyclists under their jurisdiction it had been decided to allow the Canterbury, Wellington and Auckland centres two representatives each on the association. Rules for the conduct of tho sport were to be compiled and the association had allotted registration numbers to the centres.
