CANTERBURY CHAMPIONSHIPS FIVE EVENTS DECIDED [by telegraph—rp.Ess association] CHRISTCHURCH, Friday Under excellent weather and track conditions the Canterbury amateur athletic championships were commenced at Lancaster Park this afternoon. Five open championships wero decided and ( heats in others were run off. G. , H. Watson won the three miles in 1.3 m 0 3-os, brilliantly outclassing tho rest r of the field.
