TENNIS CHAMPIONS
PROPOSED MELBOURNE VISIT CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS MELBOURNE. Nov. 28 At a mooting of the Australian Lawn Tennis Association the president, Mr. Norman Brookes (Wimbledon champion in 1907 and 1914) submitted a scheme for bringing leading players to, Melbourne for the centenary celebrations in January, 1935. His idea is to secure two players oach from Britain, I ranee, Japan, South Africa and New Zealand, and one from Spain, to compete in the Australian championships to be played in Melbourne on that occasion.
