WELLINGTON V. OTAGO [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Thursday Tha Otago Cricket Association decided last evening to write to the Wellington Cricket Association suggesting that ths dates for the Plunket Shield match against Wellington at Dunedin should be February IG, 17, 19 and 20. SEASON AT WHANGAREI [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Thursday Prospects for the cricketing season at Whangarei are very good and nominations have been received from nine clubs for the Saturday competition. This is two more clubs than last year. The new teams taking part aro Hikurangi and Ngunguru. For the Thursday competitions the entrants are the same as last year. The management committee has accepted an oSer of a visit by the R.V. Club, champion club Inst season of the Auckland Suburban Association, to play the Whangarei representatives on ■Labour Day.
