GOOD BRISBANE SALE JAPANESE DOMINATE BRISBANE. Sept. 14 The Brisbane wool market is firm. The highest price realised at to-day's sale was 32£ d for one lot of wether fleece. Japanese dominated the sale. Tho heavy losses of sheep in the western districts, owing to drought, are expected to reduce tho Queensland clip considerably. THE LONDON SALES LIST OF ARRIVALS Dalgety and Company, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its London office, dated September 12: —The following vessels, in which wo are interested arrived in time for tho wool sales opening on September 19: Taranaki, lonic, Port Alma, Waimana, Otira, Rangitiki, Akaroa, Mahia, Port Fairy, Tamaroa, Coptic, Turakina, Mai- • moa and Surrey. Our selling dates are as follows: September 19, 22, 28, October 5, 10 and 12. The sales close on October 12. GOLD AND SILVER QUOTATIONS IN LONDON (Received September 14, 7.35 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 13 Fino gold is quoted to-day at £6 9s 2d an oz.y compared with £6 7s 7d yesterday. Silver is quoted at 18 l-Bd. an oz. spot, and 18Jd forward, compared with 18 3-lGd and 18 5-16 d yesterday. The quotation for silver at per fine oz. is 19 9-16 d, compared with 19j}d yesterday.
