YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS Following is a list of yesterday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges. In the second , column is given the return, based on the last annual dividend, from investment at the quoted price. In calculating the return on shares in companies which pay their dividends outside New Zealand the exchange rates have not been taken into consideration. The return on 4 per cent Government loans includes redemption. In the case of 3J per cent Joans, the return is for interest alone and covers oftly the period for which the loans are tax-free. " PRICES FOR PIGS Following an advance in the prices for pigs at the Pukekohe sale on September 7 comment was ' made in the Herald by a leading livestock auctioneer that the rise was due in part to "tho activities of the New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association, Limited, which was in competition for baconors and porkers with the older established firms.' The New Zealand Loan and Me/cantile Agency Company, Limited, which conducted the Bale, dissociates itself from that remark.
