THE PJJKEKOHE CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICERS [FROM OtTR OWN CORRESPONDENT] PUKEKOHE. Wednesday 1 The president of the Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club, Mr. M. S. Campbell,mentioned at the annual meeting last evening that the club's A team had now won the Park Horne Shield in the Franklin Tennis Association competitions for the fifth occasion. The B team had also performed very creditably.'Several leading players had been lost during the year by departure from the district, including Dr. L. J. Fohfian Hull, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Johns, Misses R. and C. Johns, Mr. J. C. Charters and Miss N. Charters.

Winners of club competitions were congratulated and trophies presented, Mr. Campbell made-an appear to members for more enthusiastic co-operation. The incomo and expenditure account, disclosed a loss of £23 for the year, due to a falling-off in all sources of revenue. Total liabilities had been reduced by £l2. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. H. H. Pattle; president, Mr. Campbell ; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. R. Jordan and L. J._ Bayly; secretary, Mr. W. E. Richards; assistant secretary, Mr. G. H. Hamilton ; treasurer, Mr.. R. G. Sommerville; captain, Mr. W. C. Morrin; vice-captain, Mr. Sparks; auditor, Mr.' H. E. Kissling; committee, Messrs. V. Lee, Sparks, Jordan and B. J. Guise; delegates to the Franklin Association, Messrs. Campbell. Morrin and Richards; selectors, Messrs. Morrin, Richards' and Miss Campbell; ladies' committee, Mesdames" W. Bayly, L. J. Bayly and M. Campbell, and Misses M. Lysnar, C. Montefiore and J. Bayly. The following life-members were elected:— Messrs. G. Proude, L. J. Bayly. J. Roulston, Benr., C. K. Lawrie, J. W. Johns and H. Curd. Fourteen new playing members were electfed. The opening day was fixed for October 7. 'Lauer, who/ presided, reported that the club's team had been successful in winning the Franklin Association's C grade competition and thus held the Mnsset Cup.
