WALKER WINS AGAIN
WRESTLING AT THAMES DEFEAT OF PATTERSON [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES. Wednesday The King's Theatre was packed to the doors this evening for a wrestling bout between George Walker and J.. Patterson, both of whom had flown by aeroplane to-day from Hastings. The bout was won by Walker by two falls to one after five rounds. In tho second round Patterson secured a body scissors on Walker, securing a fall by a body press. Walker back-slammed Patterson in the fourth round and secured a fall with a body press. At the start of the fifth round Patterson appeared groggy, but straightened up apd threw Walker and pushed him out of the ropes until the referee counted eight. Walker came back and threw Patterson twice, securing a reverse toehold and gaining a fall. Amateur bouts of three rounds resulted as follows: —A. Milne, Bst. 81b., drew with G. Clotworthy, 9st. 21b., one fall each; W. Vedder (Hikutaia), lOst. 51b., drew with G. Avery (Hikutaia), 10st.' 71b., no falls; M. Modrich (Kopuarahi), lOst. 121b., drew with H. Vujnovich (Turua), lOst. 81b., no falls; C. Young (Ngatea), 10,-it. 131b., defeated H. Williams (Ngatea), list. 101b., by two falls; R. Richards (Hikutaia), 12st. 61b., beat J. Rare (Hikutaia), list. 101b.. by one fall. Mr. Wiljiams, of Frankton, refercod the bouts.
