LATE MR. J. S. JONES
JERSEY BREEDERS' TRIBUTE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday Reference to the late Mr. J. S. Jones, of Bell Block, who died of injuries received in un accident near Te Awamutu yesterday;- was made by MvJ C. G. C. Dernier, of Feilding, presi* dent of the New Zealand Jersey Breeders' Association, at the- National Jersey Show and sale at Claudelands to-day. Mr. Dernier said Mr. Jones, who was fatally injured while on his way to the sale, had been a consistent and successful supporter of the sale. Ho was a woll-known figure at all stock sales and shows, and had competed with conspicuous success. Last year he won Hie grand championship at Claudelands, and was on his way to defend the title when he met with tho accident. - I
Tho large gathering stood in silence as a tribute to Mr. Jones! memory.
