AFFAIRS OF THE BOARD POSITION OF SUPERINTENDENT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Wednesday The Thames Hospital Board at its meeting to-day received a letter from the Auckland Hospital Board stating it had declined to enter into a reciprocal agreement with any outsido boards and could not make any exception in favour of Thames. The Minister of Internal Affairs forwarded the sum of £6 from an art union to be applied to.the relief of distress at Ngatca, Hauraki Plains. The resident surgeon reported 104 admissions to the hospital during August, and 88 discharges. The chairman, Mr. W. E. Hale; welcomed Mr.-. W. Madgwick, the newlyappointed representative of the Hauraki Plains. . . Mr. Danby asked whether admissions to the Auckland Hospital could be nominated by the Thames Board. The chairman said he thought such an arrangement could be arrived at to cover some cases.
