GANDHI RELEASED
NO CONDITIONS IMPOSED VISIT FROM MISS SLADE (Received August 24, 12.45 a.m.) CALCUTTA. Aug. 23 Gandhi was released unconditionally this afternoon. Miss Madeline Slade, daughter of a British admiral, who renounced London society to live in Gandhi's ashram, was released from prison on the expiry of her term yesterday. She went straight to Poona to see Gandhi.
