WISH TO BE IN AUSTRALIA [BY TELEGBAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH. Thursday "I don't want to go to England, I want to go. to Australia," said Edward Hewitt, aged 52, a native of Cheshire, who was sentenced by Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., to three weeks' imprisonment for stowing away on the steamer Matakana and was ordered to be placed on board the first ship belonging to the same company leaving for England. Hewitt hid himself among coal in the bridge space when the Matakana was at Cannes and gave himself up next day at sea. The | ship arrived at Ne* Plymouth this morning.
