MISSING CLIMBER
BLIZZARD STOPS SEARCH [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION 1 CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday A raging blizzard and heavy rain prevented any search being made for the body of M/ Edgar Samuel Russell on Avalanche Peak, Arthur's Pass, to-day. Forty climbers now at the Pass will have to wait for better conditions before anything can be done. All intend to stay ready for action. All the food required by the searchers was supplied at the expense of the Canterbury Co * ,■ lege Students' Association. Mr. Russell, a student of the Teachers' Training College, aged 23 j'earSi was missed after participating in expedition to -Avalanohe Peak a party of students on Sunday. It is b®* lieved that Mr. Russell was buried, a snow slide.
