LABOUR CANDIDATE CHOSEN [ II Y TKI.KGRAPtt —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WAIHI. Wednesday At the rcqust of the District Labour Representation Committee Mr. James T<horn, national secretary of the NewZealand Labour Party, has consented to , contest tho Thames fieat as the party's candidate at the next Parliamentary election. Mr. J. S. Montgomerie, who had previously contested the seat, was approached, hut for busi-ue-ss and private reasons declined to accept nomination.
