SPECIAL SESSION ENDS WAR VETERANS' BENEFITS (Received June 10. 7.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON. June 10 With a final victory for President Roosevelt in tho form of the adoption of his compromise plan for reduced benefits to war veterans, after he had threatened to veto a more liberal proposal which had been bitterly contended for by the Republicans, Congress at last adjourned at an early hour this morning. The special session had lasted since j March 9. Mr. Roosevelt's programme was virtually enacted in full, including such major measures as the Emergency Banking Relief and Banking Reform Bills, the Beer, Government Economy, j Agricultural Relief, Railway Reorganisation, Industrial Recovery Bills, etc. | Appropriations totalling 3,459,000,000 | dollars also were passed.
